OAITA Announces Formation of First Ever Independent Title Agent-Focused PAC

The Trustees of the Ohio Association of Independent Title Agents (OAITA) are proud to announce that the organization has formed the first Federal, state and local (FSL) political action committee (PAC) geared entirely for the advocacy of independent title insurance agent and independent real estate professional issues.  "We are extremely excited to take this important step in helping to assure that our independent voice resonates with Congress, the state legislatures and local town halls." said OAITA President, Doug King.

OAITAPAC was created in order to help support candidates for public office and current officeholders who are, in turn, supportive of issues that are relevant to OAITA members -- prevention of "conflicts of interest" in the real estate settlement process, protection against anti-competitive behavior in the title insurance industry and recognition of the benefits of transparent, autonomous title-related services provided by independent real estate professionals.  OAITAPAC will begin collecting PAC contributions in 2010 with a first year goal of $10,000.00.

Interested members can contribute in any of the following ways: (a) visit our website at www.oaitapac.org; (b) complete an OAITA PAC donation form located at our website; or, (c) contact one of our OAITA Trustees at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
